Resolution of Inclusion

Years go by and we transition into a new year with new aspirations, new ideas, new dreams and many desires. And why not? We human beings are all about evolution but what hasn’t evolved is the very sense of acceptance that we must develop to have a more sensitive and sensible approach in order to make this world a compassionate place. In the age of social media and instant validation & gratification, we have been exposed to a lot of opinions, views and information. With that comes a lot of hatred, bullying and trolling which sometimes lead to a terrible situation for some where they either end up giving up on their dreams, aspirations and often their lives. Isn’t it disturbing? Shouldn’t this be put to an end?
Like so many other things, this also has a root cause and we have to understand the main reason why we are exposed to all of this in the first place. After thinking rigorously about what could be leading to an extremism of this level, we could only think of a few reasons to understand the source of such hatred and bullying. Why do we really judge someone for anything? It is because of a difference in opinion, in choices and in just the way they lead their respective lives. And again, it all comes back to the societal norms where we are conditioned to believe that each one of us have a pre-set ways to lead our lives, choose our careers, pick our outfit of the day and the list of these stereotypes is never ending.
We are already on the journey to break those stereotypes and we are determined to do so but it is a long journey with several milestones. One of those of milestones is to bring compassion back to fashion. If we are capable of accepting someone’s choice, opinion or ideologies, half a problem is already solved. It is an easy exercise where we just need to be a little humane and understand that any differences between them and us shouldn’t really be the reason for discrimination. In fact, the society grows faster when different cultures, ideologies, opinions etc. can co-exist. Diversity is the only way to evolution. All we need to do is acknowledge, address and admire the strength one might have to put up in order to do something different, the courage they exhibit to live their lives the way they’re born and the power they possess to make the change we need.
Another milestone in that journey is that of acceptance. Acceptance is the only way to make things easier for you and everyone around you. It has the power to give wings to those who want to fly, it has the magic to make someone shine again and it gives you a power to accept yourself when you accept other for who they are or who they want to be. Why don’t we start 2025 with a resolution, a resolution of inclusion where we all develop a sense of acceptance and sense of compassion back into our lives. If you can’t be a friend, all you can do is not bully them. If you can’t understand them, all you can try is to acknowledge them. And if all of this sound too difficult to do, all you have to do is to “Live & Let live”. This is not just a moral responsibility but our only and the last attempt to make a way for our future generation where they can be themselves. Let’s start being the change we want to see around us.
Let’s try and make 2025 a better year for all of us. We at Inclusif are taking this resolution to be more compassionate, more accepting and all inclusive. Are you?
Sadism can never be heroism,
Heroism is in Inclusion.
So Be Inclusive.
